北陸では珍しい臨済宗のお寺、臨済宗国泰寺派大本山・摩頂山国泰寺の取材の帰りに偶然通りがかった場所です。
竹林に囲まれた、ここ西田は筍の名産地です。
京都嵯峨野や京都芸大のある大枝も筍の名産地なので
とても身近な感じだったのですが、
古刹の余韻を消すように、突然視界に入ってきました。
どこまでも続く一本道と田園の様は、
過去と未来をつないでいるにちがいありません。
西田の筍をいただきたいと強く思いました。
くいしん坊が理由だけでもありません。
